Laundromat, 9x12" oil on panel

After reviewing Splash, First Snow, Red Light, Laundromat and and Bridge Shadows... I commend you for going where few artists wish to tread. A straight forward composition, uncluttered, masterfully colorized and tightly focused. The viewer's eye is not allowed to wander right out of the painting. On the contrary... the viewer is drawn into what appears at first to be a simple picture... and then revels in the subtle interplay of light and shadow. Kudos.

Wow, what a thoughtful and very flattering comment. Thank you so much. I strive for streamlined compositions and spend a lot of time editing scenes before I paint. Getting to the essence of things is my goal, and I am glad to know that is showing in the work!
