Switching it up with some printmaking; this is a monotype. Monotypes are made by painting on glass or a printing plate with various media (can be oils, ink, watercolor etc.) and transferring the image to paper with a rolling pin or printing press. In this case it was printed in 2 passes; one for the blue background, and a second printing for the lily leaves and stems. Because there is no printing plate or repeatable matrix, each image is truly one one a kind and cannot be duplicated.
