Gulf Coast Evening

oil on panel, 9x12"
First painting after a long, long break. I went to Galveston for a little r&r, watched the waves and enjoyed the beautiful gulf coast lighting.

Thanks! It's the first one I've really enjoyed in a long while. And now I have a good excuse to go back to the coast asap, ha ha!

Sublime shade of violet! I love it when the sky turns shades of pink and purple.

It was so pretty; the ocean and sky nearly blended together at twilight.

Serene and transcendent--nice work, Leslie. I like your lively pony too.

Thanks, Don! Prancing pony should go to the foundry soon. : )

love the way the sea slows down to the little thin waves, then come to a stop on the sandy beach.

Very good work. I thought "Galveston?" when I scrolled down to "Night Surf."
