Original Oil Paintings by Texas Artist Leslie Sealey
I like the modern, spare look of this one. Very interesting where the figures are in the composition too.
Thanks, Silvina! This is was one was a real challenge with all the glass and light. The figures were in the right place at the right time; a sort of Cartier-Bresson decisive moment.
This is a very classy painting leslie.
Thank you, Simon. I could see it hanging in a New York loft. It will be interesting to see how this one goes over. There are still a lot of limitations with jpegs; this one has many subtle color shifts that don't show up on the computer.
These minimalist paintings are solid, hippo lady! Love the spiral staircase.
Been seeing this in my sidebar for a week or more, just now got time to hop over.Another unusual motif for you, again very smoothly pulled off. The color scheme is so inviting, combined with the curves and glass, softened light/shade raking up the wall, figure ascending - one almost gets a feeling of levitation from this painting.I wish I had some money to put down on it.
Thank David. It was one of the most challenging ones to date. ;- )
I really appreciate that, Albert. It was a difficult painting because of all those element and I took a long time to bring it to completion. I nearly gave up at one point, but this makes me very glad I hung in there!
