Oil on Canvas, 48x60"
Sorry for the slowdown in posting! I've been busy working on some larger pieces for my show in September. This is a place in Austin, TX, that makes the most unbelievably delicious cupcakes, ever. I've always thought the trailer with its cupcake on top would make a fun and interesting subject for a painting. There are still some things that need finishing, but it's complete enough to share. Enjoy!

At first I thought Wayne Thiebaud did a plein-air painting! Nice, fun piece Leslie.

I like the idea of a Thiebaud plein-air! Thanks, Don.

Is that a freakin camper? I love it!

Yup, it's a '65 Airstream, and the owners turned it into a cupcake stand. Great cupcakes, btw! : )

Wow, a cupcake mobile. Does it drive around or is it stationary? Nice painting. I see a lot of Mexican food trucks around here. I'm below Houston, TX.
