Sunflowers

oiil on panel, 12x16"
This one was difficult, and I'm not sure about it. But, there is a lot to be said for practicing drawing and painting from life. There are areas that need improving, but I think I may call this one done and move on.

I love it, Leslie. There's so much light teal air in the background, and golden air in the flowers.

What a lovely comment, Jan! You sure have a way with words (very poetic). : )

Thanks Silvina! I do appreciate that; the whole thing seemed like a delicate balancing act, and it wiped me out!

These three still life pieces are are truly wonderful. Thesy have such a delicate "unfussy" touch.
Working from life is the best teacher you can ever have!

Sandra, I agree with you about working from life-there's no substitute.

Wow, you've been busy! I need to check in more. I think this one's lovely. What's not to like? And I agree the red pear looks like it's snickering at the others. Keep 'em comin'.
