Spoon on Silk

9x12" oil on panel
I kind of missed my spoon paintings, so I decided to go back to that this afternoon. This didn't take that long to paint (a few hours), but I did spend quite a while observing and mixing colors before I started. I see things that could be better, but I think the main thing is to keep practicing drawing and painting from life.

Indeed, a very happy background.
Are you planning to paint on metal again as well?!

Thanks, David!

Hi René, no plans to paint on metal; the small paintings are fun but weight becomes too much of an issue at larger sizes.
